when reading all of the variety of toppics on this site it appears by the lack of responses that some dont really care about your subject?
or they just cant find the word to say, or they mosly like reading but not commenting.
and some subjects ive read that have had many comments compared to others are just plane stupid as hell.

Some posts interest different people. Some posters are evidently friends ( at least cyber friends).
And as someone said, its sometimes a question of time.
Personally, I'm more prone to posts where the poster is struggling with jw family relations.
Maybe its because its the reason why I started posting.
those of you who have been following my story know that i just 'came out' to my family about being finished with the religion.. does anyone have advice on how to explain this to the kids?
their ages are 9 & 14 and they are very smart and fully grasp all the issues.. they are living with their father who has brainwashed them.
so this is very touchy.. should i just keep being a good mom and just lay low?
I would suggest, whilst explaining ( I leave the details here, because frankly I'm not sure what you might say)
to both of your children, that you make sure that the eldest one really understands.
In the future, the younger may have unclear memories of the conversation and it would be up to the eldest to
clarify matters. And that could even be 10 years from now.

i just being told by an jw of the new tab on the un web page... peace and security... what gives and what do they claim now?
is the un crying "peace and security" on their eyes?.
In 1974 I read in " Punch" magazine,( for those who dont know it http://www.punch.co.uk/ ) a cartoon:
"Now they are saying "peace and security", lets hit them with everything we've got".
I was quite excited then. Well I was only 14!

on saturday, my ex husband went on the platform at the one day circuit assembly and slandered me in front of 800+ people.. my jw family is even up in arms because he basically lied and ruined any last bits of my reputation that i had left, the worst part is this was elder sanctioned.. i am really exhausted from all the upheaval so i will get right to the point.
the following is what i sent to my mother:.

You and your family can and will make it through.
Unfortunately, in my opinion (and experience), half of the elders co's etc are just on a power trip.
In reading crisis of conscience you can see that it goes right to the top. The loving elders often give up and resign or leave the borg altogether.
I find your letter very touching and kind. I do hope your parents will listen.

i quit my bible study a couple days ago after taking a month or two to work up the guts.
have been getting harassing emails/phone calls blah blah blah.
but i got an email today telling me that an unbelieving spouse can be "sanctified" by his believing mate.
When my mother first saw her great grandson, she said:
he's lovely. Its a shame he's going to die soon!
And then she comlains that they never go to see her.
By the way, her grandson is nearly 10 now.
